Nestly is a Mac app that organises and searches the files on your Mac. It is built to work on your Mac, not in the cloud. This page explains the little data that does leave your Mac.
Your files stay on your Mac
Nestly reads your folders to show, search and organise them. Its search index, including text read from documents and screenshots, is stored only on your Mac. Nestly never uploads your files, their names, their contents or your searches anywhere.
What Nestly sends, and to whom
- Licence activation. When you activate, Nestly sends your licence key and your Mac's name to Dodo Payments, so the key can count which Macs use it. It checks the key with Dodo again from time to time, and when you choose Deactivate this Mac.
- Current price. The app asks this website for the current price to show on its Buy button. That request contains no personal data.
There are no analytics, ads, trackers or crash reporters in the app or on this website.
Payments
Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record, which collects your name, email, billing address and payment details to take payment, issue your licence key and handle tax and refunds. We never see your card details. See Dodo Payments' privacy policy.
This website
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address) to serve and protect it. The site sets no cookies. It remembers in your browser tab, for that session only, whether you arrived from the app, so checkout can return you there.
Your choices
You can deactivate a Mac at any time from the app. To ask about, correct or delete data linked to your purchase, email technophilic000@gmail.com.
